UPDATE: We have allocated the London Marathon and Big Half places, however we still have places left for the Brighton Marathon.
We are excited to be able to offer a number of charity places for some marathons and half marathons in 2025.
If you are interested in taking part and raising money for Beat SCAD please get in touch. There are minimum fundraising pledges attached to these charity places so please tell us about how you plan to achieve the fundraising goals, including as much detail as possible. You can express interest in more than one event.
Once we’ve received your form, we will review your application and be in touch in due course to let you know the outcome.
If we are able to offer you a place you will receive a payment link for the registration fee, which will need to be paid within two weeks.
Why we need your support
We need more research into SCAD so we can provide answers to patients about why SCAD happens and find appropriate treatments. The money you raise will be used to fund research, raise awareness and support those affected by SCAD. For more about SCAD have a look around our website and read some of our SCAD Stories.

Charity ballot places
- If you are successful in gaining a Beat SCAD charity place for any of the running events listed you will be required to pay a non-refundable registration fee within two weeks of receiving a payment link. If you have not paid by this deadline, we will assume you no longer want a place and will give the place to someone on the waiting list.
- You agree to complete the official online console before the deadline set by the organisers.
- By registering for a charity place you are committing to raising the minimum fundraising pledge excluding Gift Aid. You agree to set up a fundraising page to collect online donations and any offline funds should be sent to Beat SCAD no later than two months after the event.
- A proportion of the funds raised will be used to cover the cost of your place (London Marathon £380, Brighton Marathon £19.99, The Big Half £16.50) The remainder will be used by Beat SCAD in our mission to raise awareness, fund research and support those affected by SCAD.
Self-funded places
