Some patients assume if they sign up to take part in the UK SCAD research in Leicester they automatically have a clinical referral, so it's advisable to make it clear that they are separate and in order to see a SCAD specialist they need a referral.

Referrals from GPs, cardiologists or other healthcare professionals (including rehab professionals): Letter online or email referrals only via the NHS e-referrals system (choose-and-book). The name of the clinic is Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD, FMD and CAE) Service – Cardiology – GH – RWE
This can be found by looking for:

SCAD Service London
Referrals can be sent to Dr Dave Adlam in Leicester (see information for Glenfield Hospital SCAD Clinic) or directly to Hammersmith Hospital.
Dr Rasha Al-Lamee and Dr Dave Adlam’s SCAD clinic will accept letter, email or NHS e-referrals. Please ensure it is clearly labelled for the SCAD service.
